About this listing

On Lake Butte des Morts, N°9 Landing is a lake house for the whole group: coffee with the lake past the lawn, evenings at the string-lit fire pit. Inside, a library with a three-sided fireplace and a lower level with a bar, pool table, shuffleboard and movie room. In season: kayaks, a paddleboard and a private pier for your boat. About 15 minutes to the EAA museum and downtown Oshkosh; just over an hour to Lambeau. Six bedrooms sleep 18; 5 full and 2 half baths; run by Wisconsin Getaways.

On the shore of 8,500-plus-acre Lake Butte des Morts in Oshkosh, N°9 Landing is a three-level brick lake house where 18 people can share a weekend without sharing every minute of it.

The day writes itself. Coffee at the window counter with the lake past the lawn. In summer, somebody out on a kayak by mid-morning. A pool rematch downstairs while someone slips into the library with a book beside the three-sided fireplace. Then everyone drifts back to the fire pit as the string lights come on.

THE LAKE IS THE BACKYARD

• Direct frontage on Lake Butte des Morts, part of Wisconsin’s Winnebago System, with a big open lawn running down to the shoreline.
• A fire pit under a timber pergola strung with lights, with firewood stocked in the garage.
• A brick patio with outdoor dining for eight, a gas grill with propane included, rocking chairs and lounge seating, plus a hanging egg chair on the lawn and a hammock.
• In season, four kayaks, a paddleboard and life jackets, including kids’ sizes, for guest use.
• While the private pier is in for the season, bring your own boat and tie up right at the house.

GATHERING SPACES WITH PERSONALITY

• A sweeping curved staircase rises beside two-story windows, and the upstairs landing looks out toward the lake.
• The living room gathers around a gas fireplace and a big sectional.
• The library/game room wraps a three-sided gas fireplace with floor-to-ceiling shelves, books, games and a chess table: quiet when you want a corner to yourself, lively when the games start.
• The newly refinished lower level is where game night happens: a bar with stool seating, a bar refrigerator, a wine chiller and an electric fireplace; a pool table; a shuffleboard table; and a separate movie room with a large-screen TV, an oversized sectional for about eight, plus a popcorn cart for movie night.

A KITCHEN THAT KEEPS THE COOK IN THE CONVERSATION

• The gas cooktop sits in the island, so whoever is cooking stays in the middle of the action, with double ovens for big-batch breakfasts and family dinners.
• A formal dining table set for 10 and a round breakfast table indoors, plus patio dining for eight. No single table seats all 18; in warm weather, the dining room and patio together seat the whole group.
• Three full-size refrigerators (kitchen, lower level and garage) plus the bar refrigerator and wine chiller, so a big group’s groceries actually fit. A second sink on the lower level helps when everyone is downstairs. There is no ice maker in the kitchen.
• A main-floor laundry room and an office with a desk. The office pullout sofa is not part of the sleeping setup.
• Forced-air central air conditioning for summer stays.

THE WISCONSIN GETAWAYS DIFFERENCE

Wisconsin Getaways manages luxury vacation homes across Wisconsin, and our own team looks after N°9 Landing. The home is professionally cleaned between stays, firewood is stocked in the garage, propane for the grill is included and life jackets, including kids’ sizes, are ready for the kayaks. Our team is available from 7 AM to 9 PM every day, with best-effort help for urgent issues overnight. Bringing a boat? Message us before booking so we can confirm the pier for your dates. Traveling with little ones? Let us know before you arrive.

The best group trips come down to a few moments: the last log on the fire, the pool rematch that went one game too long, morning coffee with the lake in view. N°9 Landing has room for all of them, and Wisconsin Getaways takes care of the house so you can be there for every one. Choose your dates and make N°9 Landing your group’s lake house.

The whole home is yours: all three levels, the lawn, patio, fire pit and shoreline. Kayaks, the paddleboard and life jackets are for guest use, and while the pier is in for the season you’re welcome to dock your own boat.

Park up to 5 vehicles in the driveway. The garage isn’t available for parking, and there is no street parking. Firewood, life jackets and the third refrigerator are in the garage for you.

The owner’s boats, jet skis and vehicles aren’t available to guests. Boat lift use requires specific advance approval; message us before booking. Any locked rooms or cabinets are owner storage.
